FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Leawood, KS,- NueHealth, LLC (“NueHealth”) is proud to announce the opening of the Orthopaedic Surgery Center at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, in partnership with Main Line Health, the Rothman Institute, and several individual orthopaedists. The new 24,000 square foot ambulatory surgery center is the largest specialty outpatient surgery center and largest freestanding ambulatory surgery center in the region.

Located on the fourth floor of a brand new medical office building on Bryn Mawr Hospital’s Campus, the Orthopaedic Surgery Center is designed with patient safety and comfort as top priority. The facility houses four operating room that are each larger than 600 square feet and three 250 square-foot procedure rooms, along with special preoperative bays, post-anesthesia care unit bays and recovery bays. The facility is an extension of Bryn Mawr Hospital’s orthopaedic center of excellence; an estimated 27 surgeons will provide patients who have a wide range of orthopaedic diagnoses with superior surgery and procedures.

Under a management services agreement with the joint venture, NueHealth will provide the Orthopaedic Surgery Center at Bryn Mawr Hospital with day-to-day management and operations support, including accounting, materials management, payor contracting, benefits administration and billing and collections.

“This facility is unique to the Philadelphia healthcare marketplace,” said Whitney Courser, Senior Vice President of Business Development & Marketing for NueHealth. “It simultaneously accelerates and capitalizes on an industry wide shift toward emphasizing quality and value of focused care sites.” With the goal of streamlining care and lowering costs, the facility’s focused design includes a generous floor plan that allows for more complex procedures typically reserved for inpatient settings. By emphasizing the quality and value of focused care sites over their larger acute-care counterparts, the Center will be a leader in facilitating value-based care delivery.
